Abira Shinde’s love affair with fantasy novels has been lifelong. She started writing PHANTOMS AND FORGOTTEN DEPTHS in high school, and, after graduating, took two years to finish and publish it. Her experiences growing up queer-biracial, and love of history have influenced her novels and writing style.
She currently lives in a lively multigenerational home in Northwest Indiana — shared with a starstruck professor, a consistency queen, a rising soccer debutante, and Red, the pet fish who’s always making waves.
